Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland (ATGI) members are enthusiastic professional tourist guides who lead, excite, educate and entertain a huge variety of clients in the cities, towns and countryside of the entire island of Ireland, in up to 16 languages.

ATGI was established in 1977 and is a full member of FEG (European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations).

Problem

ATGI recognised that their operation had to change to benefit their partners, members and their clients.

They needed:

- An easy way for clients to book tours and easy for members to receive tour offers.

- An improved responsive website, highlighting a clear key message and reinforcing who ATGI are.

- To promote members and help ATGI partners.


 

Solution

Wandsoft designed and developed a new website. Tour guides’ profiles have an equal chance of appearing in searches.

Once a tour request is made, real-time confirmation is available to the client and the relevant tour guides.

Tour guides can update their pictures, bios and interest, reducing the load on ATGI voluntary board. In addition, the members’ area provides tour requests, news and event bookings.

The ATGI committee can manage all membership, tours and easily get statistics as well as export the relevant data to produce the tour guides' badges.
